Spring is coming, lets see those machines!

I have a 2009 Suzuki King Quad 750axi, Bev has a 2008 Suzuki KQ 450axi. Auto trans (CVT), fuel injected, 4x4, IRS. I'm prepping them this week forr the spring/summer season. Got the batteries charged up last night, need to change front differential fluid, check the oil, and put new spark plugs in. (next weekend).

This pic below is Gardner Canyon, in the Santa Rita mountains, just 5 miles north of Sonoita, Az. About 35 minutes drive from our house. Trails for miles and miles...

Where you live, does "Spring" really have any relevance? :)

My bike is still under a food of snow.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Being a motorcycle rider first, I do occassionally entertain the thought of buying a dirt bike to go with the quads.

Another pic in the Santa Ritas. The ranch in the background is gorgeous, I'd love to see the main house:

That's bad ****. I'd love to get into it...but I can only afford 3 on-going hobbies at a time...and right now thats audio, guns, and motorcycles.

My grandpa has an old, pretty beat up 4-wheeler that he never uses that I REALLY want to get my hands on...and hopefully might someday.

Other than that, I think if I do get one, it'll be a side-by-side, for reasons below:

And those will eventually get replaced by a more expensive hobby...kids. But thatll be another couple years. Just enough to hopefully knock out the motorcycle...and half the other 2.

We both traded our motorcycles in on the quads. Bev had a Honda Rebel, and I had a Honda Magna. I was getting the feeling she was motorcycle riding for me---not for her---and it made me a nervous wreck, knowing how stupid cagers can be. She's always loved quads, so when I pitched the idea to her, she was all over it.

Nice pics bro. I always wanted an ATV or a DuneBuggy. I was into crotch rockets for a very long time, but an ATV would be awesome fun. Something for me to consider I suppose. Ride safe and enjoy.

Arizona makes it easy to enjoy them, with alot of accessable land, and allowing people to make them street legal gives you the means for greater access. After riding bikes, I never thought I'd really enjoy quads that much---but I do. Riding thru the Lincoln national forest in New Mexico was especially nice, as it's not dusty like alot of Arizona riding tends to be. Nice moist woods, with good clean cut trails, covered in leaves.

I would love to have one, but I really do not have a place or the time to ride here in Indiana. It is still cold and rainy here. I envy your weather. I am headed down south next weekend and will be borrowing one of the Suzuki quads that my parents have.

I have a 2003 Yamaha Raptor 660R that is bored and stroked to a 720. Kenz cycle tech ported head with +1mm Ferrea valves, Megacycle X4 cam, dual Keihin 35mm FCR carbs.

I also have a 1997 Yamaha Banshee. 4mill stroker crank, F.A.S.T. dune port, CPI inframe drag pipes, dual Keihin PWK 33mm carbs, direct drive lockup clutch, 18cc domes, and run it on straight 110 octane fuel.

Both have stock lenght swing arms because I have to be able to trail ride them as well. A +6in swing arm doesnt work in the tight trails.

There is a national forest we can ride at close by. It is Halsey National Forest in the middle of nebraska. It is a fun place to go. We also travel to Oklahoma once a year to go ride in the sand dunes. It is a blast as well.

I have a Kaw 650 Prairie. Around here, you can get a license plate and ride on the road. One of our favorite places to ride is in the local creeks. My buddies and I will load up the fishing equipment and a few bottles of the barley pop and ride the creek down to the river for a late night fishing trip.

Nice pics JB. I prefer to wheel in my 68 heavily modded Bronco. The quads are much faster, but crawling around in the woods is real nice. I would like a 4x4 quad, or a CR250r to play on, but roof off and windshield down is very nice in the woods, or cruising a back road.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

This last year there was a International Scout that had a big block in it. Full tube chassis / role cage. It had paddles the rear and it would scoot across the sand. Nothing like open headers on a big block, and sand flying high in the air.

Click to play the video. Wish had had my 60d instead of a $70 Point and Shoot

Yes, 750 Brute Force. Got it in as a partial trade for my 745i. Since I re-started my hunting hobby I have completely overhauled my gear and hardly have time for music anymore. I probably should sell most of my hi-fi gear to fund a night-/thermal-vision equipment... :)
