Amp's

I need your help, I'm picking up some SDA-2's this week and don't have anything to power them. I have a friend that's building me an amp but that could take some time. You know "friend" I can't push him. I have a chance to buy a Yamaha M-4 and C-4 for $100.00 total. My thoughts are use the Yamaha gear until my new amp is ready and then sell the Yamaha gear and hopefully make a little money to offset the new amp. I'm very new to this so tell me if I'm nuts. I just can't have those SDA sitting around!

I'm not familiar with the M-4 or C-4, but I think these are 4ohm speakers (verify this), and a bit of a load to drive. Make sure that your amp being built is up to the task also - what are the specs?SDA SRS modded: Xovrd, de-polyed, inductorized, interconnectorized, re-posted, dynamited, RDOd, spiked, gasketed, ringed (Larry's), and grill cloth blinged! Done this on my own? Not a chance. Thanks to Raife and all who forged easy to follow upgrades. At least a 100% improvement in sound and my personal listening pleasure! :cheesygrin:Pass XP-10 preamp, Parasound A21 amp, Pioneer Elite DV-58AV (Ric Shultz modded), Audioquest Sky IC's, No longer need my Sunfire sub after mods...

Thanks, the guy building the amp has 3 set of SDA's so I gave him a budget and let him make the calls. He runs all his stuff with tubes, way over my head.
