Go to the local pound, pick up a cat or two, and throw them up there.

Seriously the ultra sound works. A few guys up here use it for hunting cabins and attics. The bad reviews are most likely from people expecting to cover a whole house inside and out with one unit. One unit will cover one open area. At $25 shipped from Amazon it is a no brainer. If you poison them or shoot them like stated earlier they will most likely stink up the house. Also that doesn't prevent more from moving in.
    Ben
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Well agree with the Pro idea have someone coming out tomorrow, so I have a better idea what's going on. Now have a feeling this is going to cost me, just to get rid of them. The company which was going to come out today didn't work out, but long story short basically $200 for the first one and $59 per any other animal. Feeling is its a mother and she nursing 2 to 4 little ones.

    I got a new In-Law mother suite here.

I had a squirrel in my attic several years ago (previous house), and somehow it got itself into the walls-and I think it got stuck. I could hear it scratching just behind the wallboard--I contemplated cutting an opening to get it out but had lots of visions of that going bad. Then one day no more scratching--a few days later the smell of dead animal permeated the hall. Again I contemplated cutting a hole, but eventually the smell ceased so I left it be.

    Yuk!

Well I can rest a little better now, I hired a pest control company to remove, seal opening, repair damage, then Guarantee it for a year. Price $686 fair enough too me, considering the work and all. I will do an Ultrasonic thing in the attic to detour any relatives from re-entering down the road, thanks Ben for the idea.

Ben, have you ever tried that product? I've had another ultrasound pest thing, but that was years ago so anyway I never heard it. This product sounds LOUD in fact I gave me a headache just by playing with it. I try this in my attic when the pest company is done with the Squirrel's. On this subject Squirrel's are winning so far, I still hear them and they are not getting in the cage.

    Squirrel's 1
    Pest Control 0

He's coming today so I see if Squirrel's are 2 or the Pest Control is 1 one.

It shouldn't sound loud. You have good ears! The sound is in the upper frequency range where you shouldn't hear it. You can't hear it when you have it in the attic and you are in your living area can you? I have not used that particular model, but I have had friends that use them in storage areas and camps. Is there a frequency adjustment on it?

I have this vision of you, just like Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation with the squirrel in the house.
Time to buck up pal, go up in the attic, shoo the squirrels out, find the hole, stuff with stainless steel scrubbing pads, call it a day. You can go to almost any garden center and buy something to spray up there to keep them away. If you don't make their life uncomfortable, they'll keep on comming back.

I'm not going up there now since I know there's cages and still have Squirrel's I heard them Sunday afternoon. It product has Sonic Sounds this what the manual states about it...

    About Sonic Sound
Sonic sound waves are low frequency, audible sounds that carry futher than ultrasonic waves and are effective in protecting larger areas.

Caution: Prolonged exposure to the unit in the loud and medium mode (Sonic) settings is not recommended for pets in a confined area. It may also be irritating to humans.

Thank God for the last statement I thought I was a bug or something.
