    When I'm talking iron, it's usually vintage gear across the board, big tranny, rusting ot recently painted types...but even that is a general statement.

    Uneducated was probably the wrong word :) I studied most everything else in the amplifier except the transformer :) Probably should have looked into it more! Always wanting to learn more. In fact, I am suing hee now googling the relationship between transformer sizing and output power in different types of amplifiers.
