Ok, it's time to thin out my collection, and I know a lot of people are looking for Xmas presents (for themselves:biggrin:) so treat yourself right this year!

Amplifiers:

I have two (2) Adcom GFA-555's.
These are the original Nelson Pass design, and best of the series in may opinion. One is like new condition with original box. The other is in very good condition (few light scuffs, no dings/dents, etc., still VERY nice) price: $320/$275 respectively.

Speakers:

Polk SDA 2b
Excellent condition. Sharp corners, nice cloth, veneer in excellent shape. Sonically perfect. pin/blade interconnect included. $275

Polk CRS+ w/ STANDS!
Excellent condition. Sharp corners, nice cloth, veneer in excellent shape. Sonically perfect. pin/blade interconnect included. These are capable of the 4.1tl mod. $350

Ohm Walsh 2
Good condition. Drivers in excellent condition. Will be very sad to see these go. You can be anywhere in the room and still get insane stereo dimensioning. Not as holographic as the SDA's but the bass and clarity is superior. And, like I said, soundfield NEVER collapses. Ive been standing 12' to the right of the RIGH speaker and stil had the perception of stereo sound. Of course it gets a little phasey in extremes like that but these are truly special speakers. $260

CS400i
LOW, low hours. It's seriously like it's brand new. Great Center but i upgraded to my CS1000p's weeks later. $150

Will send pics as requested. Thanks!!!!!

    h9,

I am in the NW suburbs of Chicago, but my office is in the SW suburbs. I can show the gear at either location, and am willing to discuss me delivering them a reasonable distance.

The Ohm Walsh 2's have my attention. I am in Rockford and I'll be in Plainfield on Saturday, how far?

I'll be posting pics of the CRS+'s tonight or tomorrow. Sorry to keep anyone waiting, I guess I should've waited for the weekend to post the ad but I wanted to give a heads up.
By tomorrow night pics of all items will be posted.

    Thanks

I really like the CRS+'s with the Adcoms, super detailed and flat response. My friend prefers my B&K Reference 200.2 with them. But he prefers a recessed high end. But in my opinion the GFA-555 is a fantastic amp for these speakers: tight controlled bass, smooth mids, light detailed highs. And the 555 has headroom in spades for these speakers.

I just saw this post and must say, you have some great gear and speakers for sale.

The adcom GFA-555 is one fine amp!! Power, stage and warmth. I'm glad I had a chance to hear one in my man cave for a few days.

And the Ohm Walsh 2's, I owned a pair and loved their imaging as well. Mine had an exotic wood finish on them!! The bass output was unbelievable also. Truly a magical speaker!! I gave mine to the guy who gave me his SDA-SRS2's. Each set needed work and we were both still very happy when presented with the offer of each others' gift.

    Good luck with your sales,
    Tony

    Thanks, Tony.

They've been great to have around. I've had them up and running for testing and making sure theyre perfect, and it's making it hard to let them go! haha. I believe my Ohms are black walnut. Looks great. I had toyed with the idea of getting them a nice piano black finish, but i just couldn't get rid of the wood. The grills caps aren't great, but Ohm still carries those for $50 and many people keep them off anyways. I had also kept these thinking that I might do the $1400 factory upgrade to make em the super 2's, but isn't realistic in the near future with all the other projects i have going on.

    But thanks again, Tony.
And it was good talking with you!

PS I SWEAR I'LL POST PICS SOON (tomorrow)

I finally got to bring my wife home from the hospital today so I havent had time to get to all of that. She's doing great, and you'd never guess that one month ago she had a 2"x1" blood clot in her heart, on a breathing tube, on the liver transplant list, and having lung, liver, kidney, and heart failure. For weeks they said she might not make it through the night, but she proved them wrong and is now laying next to me as I type this. at home.

That's some good news for sure. Take care of that girl first:smile:
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
