No, I think '66 or '67. But it's the ultimate cheesy movie. -

That kaleidoscope soul incinerator thing was AWESOME!

Not cheesy persay, but definitely of that era:
American Graffiti.
Still love this movie.
Jason, I would say "corney" vs. "cheezy" but still a great movie. -
Yea, that's why I footnoted it. I could see many of this generation seeing it as cheesy, but I love American Graffiti.
And Jaws RULED. Scared the wee out of me as a kid. I would NOT go in the ocean without my dad or grandfather for a few years after that one.
Hell I was an adult when Jaws came out and it took me quite some time before I would go in the water at the beach. -
"Walking Tall" from 1973
Loved Joe Don Baker in that movie and the movie as well but CHEEZY!
Just the name of the main character; Tennessee sheriff Buford Pusser was a crack up to my east coast personality. -
Orca

I've been surfing youtube since this thread came out and have found myself laughing aloud. I can't believe the sheer amount of bad cinema from this period. lol. But since that is when I grew up, I do seem to remember that STAR WARS marked a big change. Before SW, the number of good movies seemed to be fewer.
Oh...wait...Was Bolero with Bo Derek from the 70's? Might've been the 80's. -

Well, I also have a copy of "The Mystery Men" on DVD, which is almost on the same level as Howard. But it is from the 90's, so does not qualify as a cheesy movie from the 70's.

"Harry and the Hendersons"
-
Third vote for Death Race 2000. Awful movie, but for some reason I loved it.
