"The Thing With Two Heads" - Rosie Grier & Ray Milland

"Hercules in New York" - Governor Aaanold

Hahaha, I just remembered this one too but don't remember who's in it.

    "Killer Klowns from Outer Space"

    Gosh there's so many more!

Maybe I'll google to refresh my dying memory cells and pick my favorites or is that cheating?

Based on the theme songs...its gotta be Shaft!

    Because he's "a bad mother--"

and Superfly is only out to get rich and score some blow....
    Shaft!

    Who's the black private dick
That's a sex machine to all the chicks?
    (Shaft!)
    You're damn right

    Who is the man
That would risk his neck for his brother man?
    (Shaft!)
    Can ya dig it?

Who's the cat that won't cop out
    When there's danger all about
    (Shaft!)
    Right on

You see this cat Shaft is a bad mother--
    (Shut your mouth)
    But I'm talkin' about Shaft
    (Then we can dig it)

    He's a complicated man
But no one understands him but his woman
    (John Shaft)
    Superfly!

    Darkest of night
    With the moon shinin' bright
    There's a set goin' strong
    Lotta things goin' on
    The man of the hour
Has an air of great power
The dudes have envied him for so long

    Oooh, Superfly
You're gonna make your fortune by and by
But if you lose, don't ask no questions why
The only game you know is "Do or Die"
    Ah-ha-ha

    Hard to understand
What a hell of a man
    This cat of the slum
    Had a mind, wasn't dumb
    But a weakness was shown
    'Cause his hustle was wrong
    His mind was his own
    But the man lived alone

    Oooh, Superfly
You're gonna make your fortune by and by
But if you lose, don't ask no questions why
The only game you know is "Do or Die"
    Ah-ha-ha

The game he plays he plays for keeps
    Hustlin' cards on ghetto streets
    Tryin' ta get over
(That's what he tryin' to do, y'all)
Takin' all that he can take
Gamblin' with the odds of fate
    Tryin' ta get over
    Tryin' ta get over
    Tryin' ta get over
    Tryin' ta get over
    Woo, Superfly

    The aim of his role
Was to move a lot of blow
    Ask him his dream
    What does it mean
    He wouldn't know
    "Can't be like the rest"
    Is the most he'll confess
    But the time's running out
    And there's no happiness

    Oooh, Superfly
You're gonna make your fortune by and by
But if you lose, don't ask no questions why
The only game you know is "Do or Die"
    Ah-ha-ha

    Superfly

    Also from 1954 to 1967;

Any Steve Reeves movie . . .great stuff!!!

I know it's a '70s thread but this was some great cheese. Anyone remember Gladiator Theater or Sons of Hercules on Saturday mornings?

I remember all those Joe...and was a big Steve Reeves fan. Still one of the most aesthetic muscle-men of all time!

The 70s were such a surreal time. Blazing polyester in pastel and neon colors...flared paints, leisure suits, paisley prints--all featured in many of the classic films above.

The strangest film I saw in the seventies was El Topo--it kept me up an entire night!

How 'bout this one: "Beware The Blob." Anyone see that one? It was the follow up to "The Blob," which was Steve McQueen's acting debut.

    A real beauty.

Of the movies mentioned..."American Graffiti" and "Jaws" are not cheesy.

    They are classics IMO.

Yea, that's why I footnoted it. I could see many of this generation seeing it as cheesy, but I love American Graffiti.

And Jaws RULED. Scared the wee out of me as a kid. I would NOT go in the ocean without my dad or grandfather for a few years after that one.

    The Crawling Eye.

    Excellent sound.

The sound in these cheesy movies was have the experience. Like "Dark Shadows" background music was always setting a haunting mood.

I almost bought "The Crawling Eye" CD a year ago off the internet. That's on my bucket list too.
I still remember the fog on the mountain moves with it.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
