Boy, sure hope so as i missed a set for $25 at the local city-wide garage sale. Had just bought some ADS L500's yesterday for $50 and really didn't need another set of speakers for the house or garage so passed on these. I have a feeling i should have gone for them anyway :(

I hate to tell you but you missed a good deal on the 5 Jr's especially if they were the later 5Jr+ with passive radiators. The $50 for ADS L500's is clearly a better deal, but the 5Jr's are a classic Polk speaker in the right room.

I have 5B's and they will never leave. I've done the RD0's, Clarity Cap, Mills, Mortite and soon to have Larry's ring treatment. They are simply the best sounding larger bookshelf I've heard for less than about $700.

The 5Jr+'s are just a little smaller and lighter in the bass area. Just being honest, you missed out, because even if they didn't work out for you, you could have easily gotten your $25 back.

    Sorry :(

You did fine with the L500s for 50 smackers. I won't say you didn't miss anything, but the ads then (and still today) struck me as a tad more refined and sophisticated in sound and overall quality than the Polks. That said, I couldn't afford 'em back when they were new, bought Monitor 7As and still have and use them to this day.

That said: A pair of 5s or 5jrs for 25 smackers would be hard for me to pass up...

I would not let mine go for 25 bucks. I have mine in a small room and they sound good. In fact, I am listening to them right now.

Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

$25 would have been a steal. I bought mine new in 1991 for $225.00. I still think they are worth every penny. One day I'll have to update the tweeters and crossover.
