Good pre amp for parasound 1000a

Can anyone recommend a good pre amp for a 1000a.Just picked one up and it is great.Just think it could be better.

    I can tell you I am using a B & K Pro-5 and it is quite a decent combination.
    I like the option for a passive mode on the preamp that can smooth out some digital recordings.Otherwise, has good gain.The Pro-10 is supposed to be even better with better jacks and a separate power supply. I have tried a few and I may try a Parasound if one pops up for a decent price. I think sometimes brand similarities help a bit. I aim for neutral and like a tone bypass if possible. It seems the older Yamaha are well thought of as is the Apt Holman for vintage stuff. Sorry for the tardy reply.:biggrin:
