I just bought a pair of SDA2's used for $200! I feel very
lucky to have these speakers but I don't know much about them.
They did not come with the interconnect cable. Does the cable
make a big difference in the sound and imaging of the speakers?
Does Polk still sell the cable? My speakers say SDA II, how do
I know if they are 2a's, 2b's, 2c's etc? What is your opinion
of these speakers? Thanks for any info on them, Mike

    MHW58;
    I would guess you have the SDA "A" series, I happen to have the SDA 2B they are marked on the rear of the speakers. Most likely the SDA 2A's did not say 2A because they did not plan on updating them. They are good sounding speakers, when you get the chance you can order the cable from parts department. Sounds like you got a very good deal! Enjoy:D

    I actually thought my speakers were the SDA-2's for the longest time -- until I had to replace a driver. All of the individual speakers are labelled on the back with "SDA-2B"... there's nothing on the back of the cabinets to indicate that. Go figure!

    Does your 2's have 1 tweeter or 2 tweeters in each
    speaker? How many midranges? Apparently the original
    2's have 2 tweeters and 3 midrange while the 2A's
    and B's had 1 tweeter and 2 midranges.
    Thanks, Mike
