I have a pair of Polk Speakers. 2 - 6.5" Woofers, 1 - 12" flat passive radiator, and 1 - Peerless tweeter mounted in the cabinet, not on top. Real walnut veneer. And Sits on a matching walnut base. I will include a photo if no one is able to ID by description. Please help.

a photo will make things much easier. several vintage Polks come to mind.

also.. look at the rear of the speaker(s) for the serial number.. the first couple numbers will usually be a clue as to what it is..

the serial number may look something like this.. 10B 89772 or 7A 092671

the first number and letter tells the model number Monitor 7 or Monitor 10, then most Polk speakers went by A,B,C.

...R.T.A. 11. This would have the two 6.5" mids w/a 1"soft dome tweeter and a 12" PR. (And yes, a picture would help.)

The Monitor 7s all had only one 6.5" mid and a 10" pr.

The Monitor 10 family all used two 6.5" mids but had 10" PRs. (Mon-10 had the soft dome tweeter though where the 10B used the 2000 and the Mon-10 series 2 utilized the 2500.)

Agreed, (early) RTA 11 or Monitor 11, or possibly SDA2 - depending on if he is talking about a riser, or a separate stand.

    Cheers,

Those are Monitor 11's, a rare breed.

Thanks for your time. However, it seems that the only Monitor 11's that I have seen have had the Silver Coil Tweeter and a 10" Passive.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=71571&item=5752056498&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V

Those speakers (in your e-bay link) were discussed at length here:

note the 6th reply from Russman
The early Mon11 came with the sl1000 and a flat 12" PR, IIRC
