I seem to run in spurts of liking something for a while, doesn't matter if it's food or drink. Recently I got into evening munching with Triscuits and cheese and still do once in a while. I get into a kick then for some reason it goes away and I'm onto some other obsession. Lately I'm liking a couple fingers worth of whisky while chilaxin'. To hopefully enhance the experience, I just ordered a set of Glencairn glasses.

Have always liked Jameson and really like their caskmates edition. Smooth...maybe too smooth if you know what I mean. Picked up a bottle of Japanese whisky while on vacation, Hibiki Harmony. A horse of a different color for sure, but also enjoyable although the Mrs. doesn't care for it. Based on a you tube review, I'm thinking about picking up a bottle of Green Spot. Knowing we lean toward Jameson, what other whiskey or bourbon should I try?

    It can be pricey, but I really like Jefferson Reserve.

    How did you know what I was doing?! Saving money so I gotta go with Miller Lite but a beer is a beer is a beer in the end...man I don't know why I haven't brewed my own batch in a while...need to get on that again.

    A beer is a beer?? I'm surprised that a person that brews would make such a statement. Since brewing myself and esp since the burst of craft beers in recent years I just can't bring myself to drink any of the brews from the Big Boys anymore.

    Yep, we are near Williamsport, Pa.

    Jefferson Reserve is something I must try but my wallet is hoping I don't like it. On a different path, my neighbor has some Juan Julio 1942 tequila...OMG! I wish I could afford that on a regular basis. I'll buy a bottle next time I'm outa PA(saves $25+) and bring it out on special occassions...like Fridays! :)

    I love Balcones, but it’s cheaper here since the distillery is in town. I think it’s really pricey up your way. I especially like the rye, in part because it’s one of the cheapest offerings. The single malt makes a lot of top 3 lists, but it’s probably close to a bill up your way...

    Cause I’m cheap I just bought some bulleit bourbon rye, and it’s really solid for th price. Really smooth, some nice flavors and aromas, it’s certainly not comps enough to win an awards but makes for a nice easy drink...
