I had to delete that. It would have given Ken a heart attack.

    Bring back the C-L-E-A-V-A-G-E thread.
Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

I think the current format is what attracts the new members. Vanilla, along with silly censorship, is guaranteed to attract those who find childish, immature areas attractive.

I've seen quite a few newbies here run out of the forum on rails, posing newbie questions, necroposting, not using the search function, other newbie stuff.

Gotta treat the newbies with that understanding. Otherwise they'll move on.

I can remember getting spanked a few times on this forum when I first joined.

I enjoy the banter, but there is a period of time as a newbie where you just don't know if you're being played with or actually insulted.

Yes you must have some thick skin, that is the nature of any forum.

    Just my 2 cents.

Vanilla (Polk) does not like cleavage (anymore). Say adios to Ms Cleavage. Then again maybe this post will act like reverse psychology. :)

    A few thoughts...
    1. Don’t call out grammatical errors on newbies. I almost left because of that. I know now y’all were just giving me a hard time, but back then, I didn’t.
    2. At least for me, I want you to tell me how to fix something and then tell me why that’ll fix it, or how I broke it, so it doesn’t happen again.
    3. Try to not just say “you’re wrong”, give some explanation. That was another thing that almost made me leave.

I feel ya Micah! But now that you've endured, like I have, I expect you to dish it out as well.

For the record, I love @Viking64 grammatical and punctuation self righteousness! Even purposely posted grammatical and punctuation errors a few times knowing that he would pounce! Gotcha Jimmy! ! Oops, double exclamation point!

Wasn’t necessarily pointing out Viking, several of us around here (including myself) do it, but at first I didn’t realize they were messing with me.
