Google Home Bricked the Magnifi Mini - Been an issue for months and still no resolution from Polk

I just tried connecting my Magnifi Mini to google home and now the sound bar doesn't work at all. No sound comes through no matter what input it's on. From looking at the forums it seems this has been an issue since at least January. It's now September and this issue still is happening. I called Polk support and they are sending a replacement unit, but Polk still doesn't have this listed as a recurring issue, and it seems like there is no action on their part to make this unit actually work with google home. It is ridiculous that this is an issue that has been going on for at least 9 months and Polk has taken absolutely no steps to fix the issue.
