New food - farro grains

Options
So tonight I made this for dinner:

https://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/farro-spelt-grain-salad-with-tomatoes-and-cucumbers

Added grilled chicken seazoned with salt, pepper, and herbs de Provence. Was quite delicious, and a half cup of uncooked farro has 5 grams of fiber and 10 grams of protein. Could easily have done without the chicken, but kids would’ve bitched and moaned. Trying to reduce meat consumption so this will go into the regular rotation. Two thumbs up!

I got the recipe from this weekly plan:

    https://www.epicurious.com/recipes-menus/weekly-meal-plan-sept-3-7-2018-article

Every meal has been good so far. Only big change is tomorrow we will make BLT soft tacos instead of lettuce wraps. I think I’ll give it another try next week.

That’s true, but I’m not giving meat up completely, though I would like to reduce it considerably. Also dairy is a good source and we take a multivitamin every morning...

Not harping...I myself turning 50 and my grandson being born (15mo) I have changed my eating habits and dropped now 16lbs. I've been a juicer for years on and off, but my snacks are celery/carrot sticks and hummus. Eat lots of rabbit food, but include bananas and avocados for sustenance. Pretty much cut out as much bread, rice and potatoes as I can. Blood pressure has dropped, I'm leaner and meaner so all good.

I will use that recipe TFS ;)

    Good luck

It's nice to have both a blender and a juicer. I run as much as I can through the Vitamix, but things like blackberries with seeds :#:# ...just don't work, unless you like chewing on sand
