    I swear that every year we took our daughter back to school at Georgetown, temps were in the triple digits... and... they call Foggy Bottom Foggy Bottom for a reason. ;)

    I can imagine! But, we stayed at a hotel a block from the Smithsonian and walked EVERYWHERE. Very pedestrian-friendly town. We got in around 11 PM Friday night and there was hardly any traffic. Left today around 5 and hit a little traffic on the way out. Overall, a perfect weekend.

    Those pics were from Friday night and Saturday. Today, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. It was around 95, but it felt like 110 in the sun on the mall.

    We were at the White House about an hour before they lowered the flag to half-mast for Sen. McCain. Would have been cool to see that... RIP Maverick.

    It seems like a daily event lately.
    We got lots of frogs and lizards and they are hungry. I am glad they are not aggressive and I do feel bad about killing anything but when they are on the porch that's my limit.

    Going into fall snakes move a lot. If you have sun on that porch they will use it to keep warm
