The local (VPR) Morning Edition host (who plays some pretty darned cool music beds, especially for NPR!) closed out his program this morning with Aretha's cover of The Weight, which is a pretty darned great version and which illustrates her range (as does the track @lightman1 posted!) and her good taste. ... and Duane Allman.

You may have to be a twitter user to see this, but if you are you’ll be deeply touched. Ms Franklin in her old age, alone at the keyboard, apparently in her home. Date stamp is March 2018 but don’t know if that’s when it was shot or is when it was digitized.

^^I heard somewhere, she had like 2 hrs notice to prepare for this opera performance.2 channel: Anthem 225 Integrated amp; Parasound Ztuner; TechnicsTT SL1350; Vincent PHO-8 phono pre; Marantz CD6005 spinner; Polk SDA2BTL's; LAT International speaker cables, ZU Mission IC's and power cables all into a PS Audio Dectet Power center.
Other; M10 series II, M7C's, Hafler XL600 amp, RB-980BX, Parasound HCA-1500 amp , P5 preamp, all in storage. All vintage Polk have had crossover rebuilds and tweeter upgrades.
