Yeah, live in Dupont which is outside of JBLM and some fighters flew really low over our house which never happens as its usually transport planes and the like. Could hear them flying around for a bit out north and west and then subsided. Then I saw the breaking news on MSN.....will be interesting to hear what caused the crash as the "official" line is that once the fighters contacted the plane it nosedived into the ground but.....

I bet Alaska and all other airlines will be changing their SOP's and such after this....

WHOOOOAAA !! :o That was a lifetime memorable event for you for sure!

I've lived under a flight path for airlines and Jet Fighter planes for 30 years. 3 jets flew over yesterday. Two were tight formation and cruising pretty good. About 20 seconds later, here comes the third HAULING BUTT after them at twice their speed. We absolutely LOVE it when the Jets fly over and rumble our house.

But the airlines...I have always thought ( even last night when one flew over extremely low! ) about one crashing or dropping a part off over our house.

You got the unfortunate reality of seeing the Jets ( I'm pretty sure you saw them too) and then a 70+ seat plane crash RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR HOME. Very unfortunate.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Kind of surprised the plane didn't break apart doing the barrel rolls since they're not designed for that. Don't know for sure though. What a wild story!

Weird just weird, I am glad nobody other than the poor dude who had the breakdown got hurt.

When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.
