This is the BEST biology class, it is short and to the point.
Good job Doc, I actually learned something. I had no idea there was such thing as a hummingbird moth. Very interesting, do they act similar to hummingbirds? Like fast wings, pollination, etc.

I lobbied for one of parents cats to be named Tralfaz, but I was stymied.

... oh, and you forgot Crazy Guggenheim.

My mother used to call us "Tralfaz" whenever we did something silly as kids. The fact that that was Astro's original name was the one piece of cartoon trivia she always remembered. :p

We watched "The Jackie Gleason Show" on Saturday nights back in the the late 60s, but I only remember Crazy Guggenheim from when WCAX Channel 3 in Burlington showed reruns of it on weekday afternoons circa 1977. :D

I had to Google "Race Bannon" because I couldn't remember how I knew that name. I remember watching reruns of Jonny Quest early on Saturday mornings.

No but it's freaking gorgeous whatever it is.

You know how it works -- the further north one is, the blander everything looks.

    'cept maybe for Scandanavian women.

Specialized moth called the Oleander Moth....I was so fascinated by them that I let them overtake my oleanders.

    Here is the caterpillar

those are very cool Mike I can see why you did what you did. So is the caterpillar poisonous ? Looks like it is or very distasteful to birds and such.

Actually one of the few hairy caterpillars that does not sting but is mildly poisonous to humans but probably not as toxic as the oleander itself. Nature is pretty amazing.

K, new rule here on the Polk Forum: No more posting of any Seinfeld videos in any threads that I might read. Just keep them out of the 'Recent Discussions' and we should be alright. It's just that it inevitably leads to at least a half-hour (usually more!) detour for TK. So, cut it out!! :#
