Are the USA made peerless tweeters any good? Are they still special and worh having like the danish peerlees.

In short yes. Both the USA and Danish peerless are considered special and sought after. Some do prefer the Danish versions a little more. I've been told their are slight differences in the sound, but essentially they are interchangeable.
The current replacements made by MidWest Speaker have had some mixed reviews. Some love them, and some think they sound different, and not so good. With all things, I think it may be dependent on the application they are used in. -
