single Klipsch KG .5

For sale here is a single Klipsch KG .5 speaker. The other was lost when it was accidentally dropped into a several inch deep puddle on the way to the car from the flea market and the cabinet fell apart. I have checked the structural integrity of this one's cabinet and it is sturdy. It does have minor scratches on the sides and top of the cabinet, and the tweeter faceplate has 2 minor cracks around the bottom screws. The grill is in good condition, with only a minor stain on the left side. The bottom corners are damaged, but it is not terrible. overall id give it a 7 out of 10 in terms of condition, and a 9.5 out of 10 for sound. Only reason it loses half a point for sound is the obvious Klipsch signature.
$35 OBO, only local pickup for now.
I will post pics later.

Might be what I end up doing. I don’t think anyone wants it here, but I don’t really want to pay fees for eBay. I might just take it to goodwill or something, I’m not really sure.

You might try to sell it on the klipsch forum (I don't think you need 100 posts to sell there)

Oh, yeah. I’m selling the crossover, drivers, and grill to @CGTIII .

They are actually pretty decent speakers.
I actually hung mine upside down from the ceiling (tweeter on bottom) years ago...

With a 10" Klipsch powered sub, all I lacked was a liquor license & dance floor!
Pretty impressive spl for such a small speaker!
    I really enjoyed that system!

I really liked the sound of this one but it’s hard to use just one speaker in a stereo system... I held on to it for a long time to try and find another orphaned speaker, but I never did.

That's just the setup my friend has -- four of them with a 10" Klipsch powered sub. Unfortunately he now has one tweeter and one crossover/woofer out among them. Hopefully this will bring it all back to scratch.
Found all that for him including Klipsch center and a decent Yamaha receiver for $225. :-)
He's a single dad with two sons, 20 and 3 years old. Needs all the breaks he can get.

  • That's a really good deal he got, that would be the perfect setup for a party!

With three step-children often at the house in addition to the 3 and 20 year olds, he often parties with Barney.
