Marantz never made a "tube receiver" -- unless one counts the oscilloscope CRT in the otherwise soiled state Marantz Nineteen receiver.

    Talk about village idiots.

Now, Marantz did make a nice vacuum tube tuner

Yall don't even know... we have a FAMOUS CL guy here in Indy....

MosterReciever guy, aka CHUCK. He's got threads ALL OVER the place....

I've even sent some guys here some emails from him where he told me the Sherrif would be coming to see me because I had the "AUDACITY" to say his TT pricing was high....

He posts on all the IN CL sites, and even as far south as Louisville lol..... I wouldn't be surprised if he isnt posting on CL in IL and OH as well

He is the ONLY person I know to be forcibly asked to leave (and subsequently banned) from my buddies shop.

    Heck, he's even GOOGLEABLE

probably not, if he has delusions of Marantz tube receivers.

Actually, for a massmarket brand, the late 1970s era Sansui stuff (especially better stuff like the AU-20000 and their separate power amps) was pretty darned good. Their top end tuners, especially, were -- top end. :)

There was a God in heaven, but thanks to the high property taxes, health insurance and other things, he now lives in a two story walk-up in the Bronx.

He is crazy. Mosy of the audio guys in town have crossed paths with him at least once. When that happens usually a new story emerges. He also has an eBay account in which he harasses folks nonstop.
