2 Channel Amp to Atrium Sub10

I didn't have any responses from this post in Subwoofer Hookup so I'm posting here:

I'd always thought that a sub needed at least a five channel amp. But from what I read last night, in preparation for installing my outdoor speakers (a pair of Atrium 5's and a Sub10), it appears that I can use a two channel amp – one channel taking white/green and the other taking red/black with the two 5's wired per usual into those same channels. (The attached image is from Polk's manual for the Sub10/Sat30 combination.)

So two questions -

1/ Is this correct?

2/ Will my old Luxman R-115 (70w into 8Ω) do the trick? (Its specs are at https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/luxman/r-115.shtml) I'm not sure if the amp's 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response will be sufficient, or if it even matters.

    It may look funky, but it is pulling the left and right channel signals into the sub

    If you had (2)-subs then you would go
    grn/wht to left chnl sub
    Red/blk to right chnl sub

    I have that sub but always suspected I hooked it up wrong. Curious to know how this works out.

    @oldrocker I certainly will. I hope to test the set up in the next couple of weeks. Need to wait until we get the house painted (a few more weeks) before I actually install the speakers.

    I go with Jaybeez on forums as Jaybee is taken already on most of them.
