Nope, but you can't beat the original Head Country sauce. Just had some last night on the chicken I grilled on my gas grill with no wood. :p

How about pellet smokers? Am new to this world and am ready to go full smoke ahead!

Brand. Pellets. Meat cuts. Dry or marinated seasoning?

Wanting to pull trigger by Saturday and smoking by Sunday.

My dad uses a Traeger pellet smoker, and it makes the best meat I’ve ever had.

BJC speaker cables, generic RCA’s, one homemade power cable, because that’s going to do any good with the rest of the generic ones.

    Velodyne VA-907 subwoofer
Lafayette LR-1100 acting as a tuner and phono.
I've always thought the goal of high end audio was not to have your neighbors bang on the wall and say, 'Turn that darn music down' but to have your neighbors bang on the wall and say, 'Tell your friends to go home and you can practice later this week'.

    Look back on this thread.

still don't know what you are talking about.
I started the thread off saying I don't like mesquite then asked what others thought about mesquite wood.
think you are reading something into it that's not there.

I got the Green mountain smoker with WiFi. It seems to be a solid smoker.

What turned me off was the guy was trying to up sale me a smoke box. I was thinking of whole time. Am I not buying a smoker? Why the **** do I need a smoke box?

Anyhow. I got the Green Mountain Davey Crocket. Still new so will take me time to learn. One thing is for sure. I am not trying expensive cuts on this.

Oak is a standard with me...plentiful and good burner. Typically use oak with some hickory. Will add fruit woods and alter levels of hickory depending on the meat. I do like the addition of some mesquite when burning beef.

how many of you smoke with mesquite wood and why? I can't stand it.
my go to woods are hickory, oak, and pecan.
have yet to try fruit woods such as peach and apple.

I'm like you, I don't care for mesquite so much. It always seems to overpower the flavor of what I am smoking. In my Kamado Joe, I usually use peach wood and sometimes a little hickory too. My wife doesn't like a real strong smokey taste, so I only want about 2 hours of smoke, even during a long, 12-15 hour cook.
