B&K EX4420 specs

So I'm searching for a high current amp to take the place of my HCA1000. Read some good reviews on this amp and looked at the specs page of the owners manual. Shows 75amps peak to peak. Not entirely sure what peak to peak means but the HCA1000 is rated at 35 amps peak...are these an apples to apples comparison?

    So, it appears to have good headroom and plenty of current. Did not realize that they were that old though. Still would like to know if amps rating peak to peak is any different than what Parasound's terminology is? Slightly different wording for the same measurement?

    The Parasound amperage is P-P. I think you have it incorrect on the HCA-1000, I have it @ 45 amps per channel.

    I know my A23 which is the Halo version of the HCA-1000 is 45 amps P-P.
    2 channel: Anthem 225 Integrated amp; Parasound Ztuner; TechnicsTT SL1350; Vincent PHO-8 phono pre; Marantz CD6005 spinner; Polk SDA2BTL's; LAT International speaker cables, ZU Mission IC's and power cables all into a PS Audio Dectet Power center.

    Other; M10 series II, M7C's, Hafler XL600 amp, RB-980BX, Parasound HCA-1500 amp , P5 preamp, all in storage. All vintage Polk have had crossover rebuilds and tweeter upgrades.

    I currently have both of those amps and a NAD 2400. In my opinion, the NAD would be a good upgrade and the B&K would be even a better upgrade.
