We haven’t done any maintenance on our gas mower, other than the original engine swap, which by the way was not necessary. We just needed a little more power to get through the deep spot above our septic tank. It does cough and smoke Occasionally, but I’m not afraid at all of dying in a large explosion when I start it up once a week :grimace:

The corn crap in gas is messing up the gas powered equipment. I buy pure (non corn) gas. I'm still contemplating a electric.

Yes what he said. Non Ethanol gas for small engines. I do not have any new fangled electric mowers. I used to have a collection of two stroke Lawnboys til I gave up on replacement parts. Bought a new lawnboy. Too much plastic crap parts made it last one year. Last year I purchased this husqvarna with a Honda motor off amazon for 179.00 and it is built like a brick **** house. Super heavy duty. Love it. Peace. Dtkwoijulq1nv.png

Pretty tough to beat a Honda motor. Had my Honda for about 5 yrs. now, no problems whatsoever. Change oil, plug & air filter once a year. Mine gets a lot of abuse with my 2hr. yard.

There's some folks in F1 that would disagree.

So I purchased this one ... 190cc honda motor and all wheel drive. My old honda was 160 cc and would bog down at times in the thick St. Augustine grass and the AWD helps as I am on a terrace. I liked my old Honda but just lacked a little power. This one does not bog in normal conditions... Build quality is good... Starts first pull. I usually mulch but sometimes need to bag when neighbors mahogany leaves fall and the wind blows them into my yard. $50 rebate nets out to $450.

My property is too big for an electric mower, but I bought an EGO trimmer last year to replace yet another POS gas one and could not be happier. The thing is amazing.

My gas Craftsman went toes up recently. Picked up an EGO yesterday. Agree it is amazing!!

I ordered the EGO edger this week, so it should be delivered by Monday.

We live on a corner lot, and using the string trimmer to edge is a slow and wasteful process, as it goes through a lot of string. Dedicated edgers are the way to go!

I have a gas power trim I bought used like 25+ years ago that just won't die. I don't think I've ever tuned it up and it starts on the 2nd pull every time lol
