OK, speaking of test tracks -- if you could pick only ONE LP track to evaluate a phono preamp...

One of my go-to LPs for showing my system is Robert Palmer's 'Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley'...especially the trilogy songs of Hey Julia/Sailin' Shoes/Sneakin'....

For deep bass performance, Peter Gabriel's 'So'

The Robert Palmer suggestion is brilliant; I love that amalgam (trilogy)! I don't have a copy of the album in any format, though... is there one you'd suggest.

I might have the Peter Gabriel, now that you mention it... although my recollection of the copy I have is that it's bright & kind of brittle sounding. It may not be So, though... I'll check anon.

    Thanks again, all!
