Hi, I'm looking for some advice please, I purchased a LSiC center speaker off eBay and when I was listening to the speaker I noticed the left side 5 1/4" driver was putting out very minimal sound compared to the right. When I talked to the seller he was trying to tell me that the left side is suppose to be this way and was told that by a Polk Audio specialist a few years ago.
When I contacted a Polk audio specialist yesterday, and he told me the sound should be equal out of both drivers. This is my feelings all along, what do you guys think?

I don't know for sure, but I do know that on the older cs400i, one of the drivers is full range, while the other is a midrange driver, so one does sound a bit louder/different from the other. But I don't it should be drastic. Have tested it with a variety of sources?

Yes, I also took out each speaker and switched side with both and it was still the same. So if there is a problem it isn't the speakers but I was thinking it was the cross over inside. But the sound difference is pretty drastic compared to each other.

There's nothing wrong with your speaker, that's how it's designed. It has a cascaded crossover designed to prevent frequency cancellations from having two drivers side-by-side with overlapping dispersion patterns.

Just tried with our LsiC, and with some voices lacking bass the one speaker is nearly silent, as intended.
