How fast do you drink

Serious question, how fast do you enjoy your drink either whist listen to tunes, with friends or alone under your basement stairs in your parents house.

I ask because I seem to drink my glasses of pinot noir fast enough

    Depends on the situation.

A good cigar & some Aberlour? 3.2 albums

    A hot Saturday & a lawnmower beer? 3.2 seconds.

Depends, some beers go down easier than others.

I don't consider pinot noir drinking. Everclear and rain water for me.

Oh no you don't... I don't care if it's - 30 or +30. I'm going to drink my wine and enjoy it

You do know the Romans drank wine and the Vandals drank beer. I rest my case.

My days of "keep up" are over. Most of my beers are 16oz and above 8%. I'll will drink one 16oz in 30-45min.

****, son. A pint of an 8% is nothing. Hell, I'm on my second pint of an 8.5% DIPA from a local brewery in Millivile, NJ. Goes down easy for being so strong and dank. Barely feeling it.

I like a good wine, and a good IPA (or DIPA), and a good bourbon. Sweet Jeebers I'm in trouble. I've been home from work for 90 min and I just started glass 3 - seems like I'm on board with MrBiron - though being slightly more aged I assume, my night ends earlier LOL. BTW - tonight is Meritage, not Pinot Noir.

LOL - it can depend on what it's paired with! And - though I truly enjoy IPA more, wine runs about 11% abv - plus lower calories than my brew favs.

Son, you come down here and I'll introduce you to the stuff we keep for ourselves.

We send the junk to Canuckistania 'cause we ain't care about what you think.

Right now, my beer fridge has about 15 different bottles in it, all 750ml and they average about 12% because they are all barrel aged.

I have a mug that fits one 750ml bottle. So all those huge beers are a single serving and you bet your sweet patootie imma kill a bottle in one shot!

Also, wine is served in 4 to 6 ounce sizes. Beer is 12-16 ounces. So even at 2-3% a 12 ounce beer packs more punch then your 4-6 ounce of wine.

Also, last time I was in Kentucky, boss took us out drinking and bought a bottle of 23 year old Pappy Van Winkle. Best bourbon I've ever had, hands down. It...moved me.

Never had a wine do that. Just a bunch of rotten grape water.

I could not afford the stuff I drink now in high school.

Then again, when I go to a party and bring my own sixer of Victory's Dirt Wolf and kill it without having to share because nobody will touch the stuff...not exactly the Natty Ice and Old Milwaukee I had to suffer through at the few high school parties I went to.

LOL I'm not arguing the merits of heavy IPA jstas - far from it - I'm an IPA fan to the point that it's hard to drink anything else in the brew family. You get no argument from me on flavor, taste or abv - I'm just saying, when you punch down a 750ml of high abv brew, or high abv wine, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder is all!

I drink beer so fast I defy you to see me touch the bottle! My favorite swill is some old Single Malt Scotch. I asked a guy at the liquor store why he didn't have this or that brand of Scotch, he said "because all of the Scotch drinkers are dead" this was in the late 80's. I am a testament of the miraculous preservative qualities of Scotch!

JK - back when I used to drink, it was just fast enough to keep the beer from getting warm.
