    Did you own a pair of these?

    No doubt they are BEAUTIFULL speakers that I would LOVE to own and hear! B):p

    Maybe...They copied Polk Audio's mid-woofer parameters and characteristic abilities.

    Looks like a CRS+ turned on its side IN A WAY but with 2 active 10" woofers. ;) I know all about THE MAN who came up with the MTM design, giving us the story behind those amazing speakers here. But Polk and Co. hit on a GREAT design with their 3 speaker SPEAKERS + a bass radiator or two, too. <3

    He says 10" but they look like 12's. :o

    I have to place a disclaimer here. I own a fantastic Snell Subwoofer. I wonder if it would help these speakers in the least. I kind-of doubt it. :)

    No I meant D'Appolito configuration speakers. My next speakers will probably be a pine box.

    My neighbor made a pair of D'Appolito configuration speakers out of solid wood. They sound pretty good too.

    He was worried about using solid wood but they're so small, there isn't much to resonate, so they sound tight and clean and really impressive to have been made by his hands alone. The cabinets of course.

    I really like those Illusion speakers! B)

    @Tony M my MD2's are pretty new and they are great, I will have to wring every bit out of them before I move on.

    Those are some damned fine looking speakers, maybe I can die with enough money to be buried in one of those.

    Fullrange -- the driver's an Altec 604E Duplex (coaxial two-way).
    I did not design it. A fellow in Canada did. It is based on one of the bog-standard Altec enclosure design for a Duplex -- but re-shaped to be more household listener friendly. The Duplexes were used for decades as the de facto studio monitor in the recording and broadcast industries.

    The cabinet has an internal volume of 9 cubic feet.
    [there's] no replacement for displacement, as mentioned before. :)

    Someone on here was selling a set of those, wonder what happened? I think the kids came with them. Not those exact kid but two that would fit in the boxes.
