Outdoor Web Cameras

I'd like to get one, or two, or three (depending on cost) outdoor mounted security type cameras to keep an eye on the landscaping at my home in Colorado while we are still spending a lot of the time here in PA. I don't need them to record any video, I just want to be able to check on the condition of the plants around the house. It's a high desert environment with xeriscape landscaping and I have automatic irrigation set up to keep the plants watered properly.

I want to be able to take a look at them every now and then and be sure that it looks like the irrigation system is working properly. They will connect to the house wifi and I will be able to plug them into outside electrical outlets. I do not want battery powered ones. What would be perfect would be2 or 3 Nest Cams, but they are pricey and I was hoping to find something reliable that would be a good bit lower in price. I currently have a Next Thermostat in that house, so I already have the app on my phone and computer that would work with Nest Cams. I'd just rather not spend that much money if something else can do the job.

Anybody have a recommendation?

    Logitech.

I did a Logitech setup at the old house. Not wireless, actually transmitted the video signal through the house wiring!

I did have to run a few outlets to the upper corners of the house.

    They worked great!

I got a set of four Zmodo cameras with an empty dvr (no drive) for 100 bucks off Amazon. They are wired but it I remember correctly the wireless cameras have to be wired to a power source. I can look at them with my phone or tablet.

If you want inexpensive these would probably work for you

We have the Logitech Arlo Pro system and LOVE it. Easy set up and works like a charm.
They are wireless, so batteries need changing from time to time. If you don't have much activity on the property they will likely last for months at a time.
We have 4 - 5 adults coming and going all day and night, triggering the 3 cameras, and batteries last 2 - 3 months.
Our local Costco deal is $399 at present.

We have a night owl system we like very much. I habe 3 od the 4 cams up. Can go upto 8. And can view anytime from my phone. The IR light could be a little better. Almost a spot light rather than flood.
