Up for sale is a brand new pair of LSiM 703 bookshelf speakers. I obtained them through an audorama package deal. I don't have a use for them currently, but I really wanted to hang on to them until I did. Unfortunately I have to let them go. It looks like only the cherry is available through audorama now fwiw.

I haven't even opened them up yet, but I will in order to inspect for damage and to test. I'll also take pictures if requested.

$575 for the pair, plus shipping & PayPal fees.

Local pickup ok, 24540 zip.

Thanks!

No harm in asking! But no, I'm in need of some cash.

I'll try to get some pictures posted tonight to hopefully drum up some interest. If that fails I'll have to put them up elsewhere.

Great speakers at a sweet price. Really like the Midnight Mahogany over the cherry.

Hoo boy, having second thoughts now that I've gotten a look in person. But on with the show...

One box has damage on both sides but the speakers are flawless.

I did say that I needed the cash, but I might need an amp even more. I could be open to a trade if the right offer came along.

Look at that, no schmutz on the tweeters! Looks like I should've bought one of the Adorama deals instead of ordering my 703s direct from Polk.

I have a NAD 906, but one of the three amps inside has a blown fuse. I only use two of the channels anyways. Have a B&K Ref 20 mint w/ remote and box. Have RTA11T (mint) and SDA SRS2 and a set of SDA CRS.

Im not ready to part with the Paraspund amp unless it was for another amp.

These are great speakers, I've used them as HT fronts & surrounds, with a capable amp they will shine, GLWS.

What would appox shipping tp 32953 be? And would you be able to double box them?

    Thanks

I'm coming up with $97 for UPS and $86 for USPS. I haven't double boxed anything before but I could surely look into it.

I have shipped those twice, and that is a bit high (I think mine were both about $65-70 iirc). If you have a FedEx nearby, go online and sign up for an account. You will get about a 15-20% discount, and ground rarely takes more than 3 days unless you are going cross-country or to a remote location.

That sounds about right depending on location, but are you using an account?

I did log in using an old account that I created a while back, but I didn't see any discount listed. Would it be a separate line item, or just be baked into the price?

Its just the price that it spits out, it doesn't show the discount. You also get a similar discount when you purchase the label through eBay - and it will show you the discount - but I am not sure about PayPal. It may be that if you purchase as goods through paypal you get the same discount, but then that discount is at least partially offset by PP fees...

Sorry for the interruption. Great speakers, carry on!

Can anyone descibe in how these sound? Would you say thwy are as good or better than say a Paradigm Studio 20 v1 to v4? Are the a particularly bright speaker or more laid back? Would you say the vocals or impeccable and or neutral?

I like that they are three way. Ive just never had a chance to hear the Polk LSiM line.

Im going to let my SRS 2 go so i can get a nice bookshelf pair for 2.0 only and i think these may fit the bill.

They have a laid back/warm presentation, but they still have the ability to be crisp and clear with high frequencies. Surprisingly impressive bass response for a bookshelf speaker. I've literally had jaw dropping "holy crap!" moments with the bass that these put out.

They're very revealing in terms of the equipment that you have upstream. They don't need a ton of power to shine by any means.

I've listened to almost all genres on mine from hip hop, jazz, classical, drum n bass, industrial rock, male and female vocalists, etc., and they seem to do a great job with everything. Very well rounded speaker.

So, in summary, I love mine and you should get them because I'm fairly sure you'd love them as well.

They do take a while to break in. While they sound good right out of the box, the high frequencies felt a little jumbled and incoherent like they were a little unsure of themselves.

After 20-30 hours that went away. I'm guessing the crossovers needed to get some time on them. I'm close to 100 hours now and they keep getting better and better.

Sounds good. If you change your mind on the Parasound let me know! I could include my AMC 2100 to hold you over until you get something else :)

Thanks, it took me awhile to find the specs.

With 88db do you think my NAD 906 would pair well? I can run it at 30x2 or 90x2.

I ran mine off my NAD C 316BEE integrated which is 40wpc and it drove them perfectly.

Based on what you're currently running I wouldn't think you'd be satisfied with it over the long run, but maybe it could hold you over until you found what you're looking for. It's 2-channel, 100 wpc. Here are the specs...

They improved my 705's some, but I'm looking for more power.

From what i have read is that the AMC is much like a NAD. I really like my NAD amp. More so than the Parasound to be honest.

What kind of deal you think we could work out for the Parasound and your 703's? The Parasound is in mint condition smoke free home.
