Used to make coke can tennis ball cannons. 3 or 4 cans, taped together with the ends cut off all of them except the bottom one. Poke a hole in the bottom and insert tennis ball. Add a generous amount of lighter fluid into the hole and add match.

That there is the ultimate pyro device I think. :o:DB)

And we turned out fine! ;)

Maybe natural selection took care of quite a few back then that we don't know about. :s

That's what a lot of people used to do down here in SE. NC. and all over the South I'm sure.

I freaked out the first time I saw it. I quickly learned it burned the weeds more than the grass. Beautiful yards later in the summer!

With my luck, I'll never do it. :s

I remember for awhile all I wanted was a yo-yo. I came home one day and there was a new yo-yo still in it's package on the table and I immediately opened it. I got to play with it for about two minutes until my Mom entered the room and reamed me because it was for the Christmas party at my elementary school. Each parent had to bring a gift under $5 in value. She taped the package back up and at the party someone else received MY yo-yo. I never did get one. I remember I received a package of magic markers. The consolation prize of elementary school Christmas gifts! I probably couldn't even make one go up and down due to my lack of yo-yo experience, being that I never owned one through my entire childhood. I consider that parental abuse of some sort.

Commodore 64. It’s currently placed in its original box and sitting in my mother’s garage for the past 5-10 years. I doubt it will start up. I should go toss it BUT I’m disabled now and that’s my excuse for getting anything done!

I was into (still am) model rockets as a kid. I remember building this little guy:

Searching around the net found this video. Scaled up version of the same. The AZ Rocketry Team launched a 9ft tall 16in diameter Mini Mosquito on a Blue Thunder M2400 at SARA's Desert Heat 2013.

Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

    Potato cannon anyone?

Always wanted one! But me not being allowed to own a BB gun, how could I hide a Potato Gun anywhere. Maybe at a friends house maybe... but I was also buying coins around whey came out. I think I did see one friend shoot one, one time.

I still get a kick watching potatoes destroy things that they hit in videos! :D

Has anybody crammed a big potato into the end of a car's tailpipe? A guy told me it makes a BIG explosion when it comes out. If the engine doesn't die first. :D
