PSA Veneer Sourcing

Going to be starting my M7c overhaul in the near future. Waiting for @westmassguy to finish my upgraded TL X/O’s. I’ve got the new RD198’s, Blackhole 5, Dynamat extreme, Armacell tape, Capped SS Allen head bolts & H- nuts. Think that’s everything except the cabinet refinishing itself. My plan is to veneer 4 sides (incl. the front) & attach a modified grill w/ magnets. Where is everyone getting their PSA backed veneer from? Most places I’ve contacted won’t ship to Alaska for some reason. It’s just a box of wood, I don’t understand the issues. Anyway I’m looking for some more sources to try. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also need to find out about the recessed magnet attachment for the grills, I’m not familiar with them.

I get my Quartered Walnut from them. If you're going Walnut, the Walnut Edgebanding is a perfect for the front edge.

I've bookmarked this thread as well - anyone have a good source for PSA backed but figured veneers? Thinking ahead to my CRS 4.1TL's - I'm likely going cherry but really like the more figured look vs. quartersawn. Thanks! (sorry to thread-jack)

Hey, I'm with you. I love the 'figured' veneers too. I'm just looking on @westmassguy suggested site, Ovisonline.com & Veneerfactoryoutlet.com. I'm leaning towards the Rosewood options but not finding edge banding to compliment. There have been some incredible speaker veneer projects on this site. Hope some more 'chime' in and link pics of their projects.

I really like the 'Santos' Rosewood veneer on the Ovis site. Seems all my favorites are not cheap ($200 a 2'x8' sheet) & out of stock. And most have a 2 sheet minimum. May just have to bite the bullet and place the order. Shipping isn't too outrageous for Alaska, $65 for parcel post. Order would be pending until new shipment of item is available anyway. Hmmmm..........

Oh man - I didn't even think about there being minimums on that stuff. Yikes!

Yes, there have been some great veneer projects on here, like you, I'm not afraid to spend a little coin to get a great veneer, but I am afraid I'll screw it up LOL. I want these 4.1TL's to be permanent "keeper" SDA's - so I want to do them right, and the exact way I want if you know what I mean!

Good luck with your project - can't wait to see some pics when you get working on it!

@MrBuhl I understand completely. At my stage in life I'm looking for 'end game' projects that will last. Don't have the time & patience to cut corners and 'get it right the next time'.
I've only got a pair of M7c's & SDA 2A's right now but I'd like them to eventually be 'signature' pieces for my small collection. Ovis does have quite a selection of 'exotic' veneers.
