It's been 39 years, but......

...I'm finally back in a Charger. In 1979 I bought a 1973 Dodge Charger, nothing special...typical 318 engine--but I LOVED that car. Fast forward to yesterday, I traded the JGC in for a 2018 Charger R/T Blacktop edition. 5.7L Hemi. Talk about fun; "Sport" mode is just obnoxious. My iPhone camera sucks, but here's some pics:

Nice ride. Although, I would have traded my JGC for a JGC Trackhawk. ;)

Get some PPF stat, nothing worse than primer showing through on leading edges. Some film for the headlight lenses is a good idea too, they scratch easily.

I'd just recommend a ceramic coating like Opticoat or Cquartz. Never been a huge fan of clear bras.

Thank you fellas, I wanted something somewhat low-key, that's why I did the blacktop edition and the Granite Pearl paint. I liked the Torrent Red, but I didn't want to look like an old guy going thru man-o-pause. LOL The photos don't do the paint justice, it's gorgeous with a lot of silver flake underlying the darker color.

Bev said: "Don't come back home without a Hemi." LOL. I responded: "Yes dear."

Yes. It's not so bad that it's annoying, but it doesn't take much to wake it up. In "Sport" mode its pretty constant low rumble, out of sport mode its a bit quieter.

I'm actually a little shocked, esp in Sport mode. I wasn't expecting this kind of torque.

You can control the exhaust valving/sound with a button?! That's awesome.

Knowing me, I'd be keeping it in Sport mode 24/7 :)

I use sport mode for break-in purposes, lugging an engine is about the worst thing you can do during break-in; and standard mode shifts pretty early.
