Glad that it wasn't bigger than a 5.3. Sucks living out here and always waiting and wondering when the next "big one" is going to be.

I had one shake my house a few+ years ago. I was in bed and thought "What is going on here?"

My bed was making me roll like a log and my bifold closet door was trying to open. It is a heavy mirrored bi-fold and it was flexing in the middle quite a bit. Damdest thing I've ever felt or seen too.

I hate Hurricanes here, but an Earth Quake is a life changer knowing the EARTH IS FREEKIN MOVING UNDER YOU. Scary for sure! :#

I was stationed at Vandenberg AFB in the 80s and every time they would launch a test missle the ground would shake miles away. Eerie.

We were living in the South Bay in 1989 for Loma Prieta. That was some fun, let me tell you.

I had a colleague at the company I worked at the time for who spent the evening helping to pull people, and bodies, from the collapsed bridge (Cypress structure) on the Freeway up in (or near) Oakland. That was where he was when it happened.

I just had a 3 hour (10 mile) car 'drive' home -- no traffic lights working anywhere along the south shore of the Bay.

Ever seen plaster walls flex and wiggle without cracking, individual books shooting of the shelves straight across the room was a nice touch!

I remember the old car audio earthquake subwoofers from the 90’s. We were so cool. B)
Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant
  • Go ahead and laugh at our frigid winter weather. One of these days California is going to do a flaming mudslide earthquake into the Pacific. And we folk in Minnesota will watch the action on the news as we sip coffee by the fireplace in the comfort of our homes.

  • I probably came across a little bitter just now. I was 14 degrees when I got off work today. April showers my ****$.

Yeah being in Ohio I was about to like your post, but then realized that’s awful. But I get where you’re coming from.
