Lots of praises here in this forum and others on Butler Amps. Found this one online:

Not sure. They do look cool. Input voltage is 100V, which is the Japan standard. Could that be why?

Simple probably. Butler is a business in the US and they share a name. In order for the Japanese company to keep the name they agreed to not sell in the USA .

They look decent enough for a small system, but not having any support state side kinda puts a nail in it when you need parts. Pretty sure they are better than monoprice flame throwers though. :)

If ya want a real Butler, buy a real Butler. They don't come up often on the used markets, but when they do I'd grab one.

I sold mine to Kerry, not because I wanted too, but for financial reasons. Kerry thought it better than McCormack...which if your familiar with them that's quite the achievement. Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to hear both in my system, but either amp is a few steps up from your B&k's, Parasounds. 6 moons did a nice review of the Butler, if ya feel like reading. Both brands can be had on the used markets for under 1500, which really makes them bargain pieces for high quality sound.
