PSW 404 repair or replace?

I have a PSW 404B that stopped working and just produced some thumping sound even without input and shows a red light on the power switch. I've powered off and on its shows green light when on and green on auto when having an input sound. However, there's no output sound. Amp plate feels warm. What could be the problem, can it be repaired? or just get a replacement like the PSW 505, or other suggestions? TIA.

The 303, 404, and 505 are all from the same vein and the amps are the same architectur so the fix is also the same. You want to call Polk support and have the serial number and purchase date handy. 1-800-377-7655 select option 1.

Thank you for your response. It's out of warranty now and I'm thinking of replacing it with either a PSW505 or HTS 12. I have an old Polk system, see my signature. Any comments or recommendation?
