Nice speakers just 100 miles up the 5 from me.

Those would be to big for the homeless shelter after the wife kicked me out.

For me Sony ES SS-M9 would be my end game. I couldn't afford them new when I worked for Sony and I still can't afford them used.
When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

I've thought about picking up a pair of those m9 about a half dozen times. I've always wanted to know what Sony is capable of when they actually create a statement product.

They are a sweet speaker. I wanted to get them at my Sony discount but still couldn't swing it for more than just money. They are rather large, I can move them on my own but in most cases they require two people. Late 80's early 90's Sony put out some great audio equipment with a lot of junk mixed in.

If you can get your ears on a set you should be impressed.

Remember guys, it's always easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission. Order those dream speakers now and enjoy life while you can.

Seriously, the world might end at any time! Life is uncertain! Don't you want to at least enjoy some tunes while you're still alive and kicking?!

    Right!
3-ways enter the mind. Maybe even a 4-way if i play my cards right.
But, clearly the world isn’t ending and here i am having a hard time with a 1-way...

I didn’t know there were four way speakers?!? ;-)

As doc hardy says, the simpler the better. I can barely handle my one way, I think I would lose my mind will all the extra shite that would come with more ways!!!

    Accuton, Sony....

    Here's mine:

The Vapor Audio Perfect Storm White w/ Accuton, RAAL or the Black version.
    PS_PressRelease_web.jpg

Then the ScanSpeak based Sony SS-AR1
    sony-ss-ar1.jpg

The demo was short and sweet but both those speakers spoke to my soul. However, the Vapor Audio were $26K a pair a few years ago but now have a $75K price tag. That's nuts! That's Magico S7, Q5 territory!

Short of hitting the lottery, the Revel Performa3 or some DIY ScanSpeak based speakers are about as lofty as I can dream. Something like the Humble Homemade HiFi Speranza:
    http://www.humblehomemadehifi.com/download/Humble Homemade Hifi_Speranza.pdf
    The white outer ones:
    service_01.jpg

Heck I'm still in the entry game dreaming of Mid-Fi!

From the listing you linked to:

"I like the speakers but your feedback ratings scare me"

"What are you talking about ? I have great feedback"

    lol

Best speakers I've heard, to date, are the ProAc Response D48R. However, the K8 is supposed to be one bad a$$ speaker. Thankfully, the Response D48R isn't priced in the stratosphere and can be found used for reasonable prices. Still, these are a long way off for me.
