Karma is indeed alive and well at CP!

A few days ago, I bumped a thread as I decided to jump into yet another rabbit hole!

I recently picked up a minty in the box Oppo BDP-95 player for a steal. I never got into the SACD/DVD-A during it's heyday (debatable), but now wanted to experience the increased performance of this format.

So on went my search. Within my favorite genre (rock/metal) there is little to be found. Even some of the OOP discs folks were asking a lot of cash! 60 bucks for a used Queensryche DVD-A!

    Metal SACD's was never going to happen. Audiophiles by and large do not listen to metal and that was pretty much the entirety of SACD player/media owners.

    Records and plain CD's only. :(

    I think F1Nut told me the closest thing to metal on SACD is Deep Purple.
