I was introduced to high-end stereo in early 1990 when I walked into Steve Jobs's office and nearly tripped over a "raw" driver sitting on the floor.

He said, "Careful. That costs $40,000."

If was from the latest and greatest Wilson Audio speakers that somebody was trying to sell Steve -- probably David Wilson himself.

I have no idea whether the driver actually cost $40,000. Steve had a penchant for hyperbole.
