Hankering for Larry's Spikes

Options
Looking for some spikes to secure the 1C. Got carpet in the basement, short pile.

I seen some of the images of the spikes that Larry has made. Beauteous !!! Sadly, I have not heard of any future production runs on those :(

Decent reviews of the Dayton 2-Piece spikes in this forum. I like the idea of a 2-piece design and have the ability to level the speaker cabinet if needed.

And as always, I missed out on the smokin deal @Toolfan66 on those spikes back in June !!!

Just for the record. Uh, no, I will not use the below per @lightman1 recommendation.

Do the 1c have a threaded T-nut now? Those at parts express are metric and will not work in the T-nut. I just bought some exactly like those. I have it bookmarked at work. I'll send a link if you like

No T-Nut now, but I was thinking about using them on my new bases. The originals were just glued and stapled.
I noticed the kit comes with a threaded insert (H-Nut). Anyone use those?
    Sure please send link. Thanks!!

I've gotta say, reading this thread's title via "New Posts" and sans context kinda had me a little worried.

I have never done a run of spikes to sell, but after I made some stainless ones, I let go of a couple sets of my brass ones..

I have no plans to ever do a run of them..

Back in 1991, TBS used to air episodes of "The Beverly Hillbillies". They had an ad that said: "Jethro. Everybody has a hankerin' for him, but only TBS has a heapin' helpin' of him." :p

    https://meniscusaudio.com/product/long-mirror-image-pts-gold/

Now you will get a discount for buying 8 I believe it works to 56.00 for those above and less for those below.
Look around the site, I bought these because I had the smaller points at home so if they were too tall I could switch them out.

    https://meniscusaudio.com/product/mirror-image-pts-gold/

On past speakers I drilled a 1/4" hole through the bottom of the speaker. I then used a 1/4" fender washer under a the 1/4" grade 5 or 8 bolt head. smaller hole and nothing to come out and get tight as needed.

choose your path carefully. PM me if needed
