M7 series2 dead tweeter

I have one dead tweeter in my speakers, i checked with multimeter and its an open circuit :'(
Is the sl2500 worth my amateur attempt to rebuild the coil or should i just shell out the money for a pair of rdo198's?

    Yes, to both...

Before you order the RDOs, remove the rubber track on either side of the dome and look forward a break there. I fixed an SL2k that way when I noticed what looked like corrosion near the dome. Pealed back the rubber and was able to reattach the single strand lead with a light touch of solder.
  • Good to know, i will have a look.

I would go with the RDO's. You'll get a better improved sound imho anyway.
