I can't fully compare the upgraded caps to the originals since the originals were bulging when I got the amp. However, I certainly do feel it is worth the upgrade even to get a little more voltage margin. The originals were 60V which is right at the rail voltage. The originals were chosen because they were the highest capacitance that would physically fit the dimensions. Mr. Curl indicated that this was a shortcoming of the amp. As advances were made, higher capacitance and higher voltage spec caps became available in that same physical size.Stan
