McIntosh MS750 Music Server.

My first piece of Mac gear has been integrated into my rig, and it is my first music server to boot. The McIntosh MC750 is a brilliant piece of gear I have been wanting for quite some time. I have always been impressed with the quality of Mac gear and this server is no exception. I have not loaded any of my own music to it yet and do not have it hooked up to the tv for its on-screen display yet, but it did come preloaded with much of the music I already listen to.

The sound from the Mac is nothing short of amazing. Easily equals my Pioneer D9mkII in terms of sound quality. While it will not be replacing my turntable(have yet to compare the two as the TriangleArt is down for maintenance), I do believe a server is the way to go, especially if they sound as good as this one does.

What format was preloaded on it? That will make a big difference also.

I have yet to get into those functions. I need a monitor set up to see them.

New gear is fun especially when it puts a smile on your face. Congrats on the addition.

The on-screen menus are up now, and I love it even more. Even an idiot like me can make it work like a champ

I'm now retiring my CD player and running only my TT and Bryston DAC with streamer. I almost never touch CDs now. My DAC/streamer combo kills my CD player.

Good to hear your happy with the purchase. There is some really cool stuff out there, and a lot to wade through.
