How quiet is your listening room?
I can get mine down to just below 23 dba.

    C weighted mine was 41 db. I didn't unplug the clock that ticks."A" weighted my scale doesnt go low enough. It's minimum is 40. So could be lower, who knows.

    It's pretty quiet, except when my wife is home and yelling at me.

    23dB is very quiet for your room. I get 41dB with AC on, 34dB with it off and no other electronic, fan or mechanical noise in my listening room. I just tested my wife's clothes closet which is the closest thing that I have to anechoic and I get 30dB in it. It is so quiet that I can hear my heart beat and makes me feel ear pressure.

    Yeah, I got a feeling that my meter may not be the best. I can cycle on and off the air conditioner (ductless) and get no change on the meter yet I can definitely hear the ac.

    +1. My rat Shack SPL meter doesn't go that low & I've never felt any of the phone apps were even remotely accurate.

    The lowest setting on my Radio Shack SPL is 60, which allows it to read into the 50s.

    They aren't. They're good for measuring the difference in dB between two sources of sound at best and they're completely inaccurate once you hit about 75-80dB because of the cheap microphones in them.
