    I had no idea folks were thinking of using silver for contact surfaces instead of gold.

    yes bananas, RCA's and HDMI ends. Some ends they flash with rhodium which I do not understand as it is very hard and doesn't even make the list of 20 most electrical conducting metals. So to me that would defeat the purpose but what do i know?
