Best placement for subwoofer

I just purchased and installed the MagniFi sound bar. Where is the recommended location for placing the subwoofer? (I'm torn between putting it underneath the TV facing the same direction as the soundbar... or... placing it across the room (the opposite side) directly facing the soundbar.

Believe it or not, you can get pretty close by doing this

If you don't want to do the sub crawl, I would probably suggest corner placement.
