From Xbox 360 to Xbox One

Hello ,
I was wondering how many of you upgraded to the Xbox One? My Son and I do way more gaming on the Computer now then the Xbox 360. I keep considering getting the Xbox One but with the Backward compatibility thing now in place I think it's a good time to jump. Not to mention the New Halo and Forza games look good. Any other titles that are awesome?

    I think right now is a great time to jump on a "One". They are releasing the new 1TB consoles for the holidays but like #nbrowser noted, you can add your own drive for pennies.
    Fast, responsive, and all the added apps make it an all-in-one. Bluray looks good and hot swapping between cable and console is effortless.
    Games with Gold has gotten a lot better and i enjoy the added bonus for being a paid subscriber.
    Have had only one minor issue so far with the unit and that's when starting the console and the game is still in standby, it tends to hangup upon load. Maybe it was just Far Cry because i haven't had it with any other game....yet. The only way to get around it is to launch another game, then reload the one you wanted to clear it out of the system. Again, it's only been FarCry.

    Wait until the day after thanksgiving. My assumptions are you'll get some sort of deal/bundle.

    Mine is 1 year old and runs great. I went through something like (6) 360's and repaired my last one 4-5 times. It really was a bad unit but once you're invested.....

    Thanks guys I think I'll get one after Thanksgiving.
    Nightfall- RPG's are cool and I will play them. I actually prefer 3rd person style games . I'm so wishing the would release a new Chromehounds as that was my favorite game ever on the 360. I was a huge Mechassault player back on the original Xbox.

    Gears of War was a great series for 3rd person!
    The new one launches next year at some odd time.

    Fallout 4 comes out in 2 weeks. 3rd or 1st person, your choice. Crazy gun customization, create your own home base including turrets, flame throwers, and working power grid, it's going to be epic.

    Halo5 was good, Halo MC Collection is great.
    remastered gears of war is out and there is a new Gears on the way too.

    You can add any external hard drive as long as it USB 3.0 to the XB1.

    Thanks for giving me a reason to upgrade. My 360 has been gathering dust since I redid the HT. I try to get out, but keep getting dragged back in. :)

    I picked up the Xbox One a few days ago and have been loading games into it. That kinda takes some of the fun out of it. Why the hell do they make you load every single game? I like the days where you put the disc or cart in and away you go.
    From what I learned the games are just to damn big and like computer games , you gotta load them in.
    I got the 1TB Holiday bundle. I got it home only to find out it doesn't come with a headset. I had to run back out and grab out. If I knew I would have picked it up while I was there.
    I got a Chocolate HDMI Audioquest cable on it, Audioquest Ethernet cable and now I need to get a Audioquest Power cord for it.

    There's a big update today that will change how your entire dashboard looks if you don't already have it. Also adds backwards compatibility for 104 360 games, with more to come.

    But I'll be off after that. All I have at the moment is Nhl16 and Halo Guardians. Others loaded but nothing worth the mention...

    Is the headset only necessary for online games? I think I am going to by it and Fallout 4. I loved that game where the kid was looking for his father around Washington DC. Being from that area, it was like being back home. :)

    Yes, headset is only necessary for talking to people online. I have put 25 hours into Fallout 4 in three days. Don't judge me ;) It's really, really good.

    What happens if i did the controller update last week and the OS update last night?
    Should i check and redo the controller update tonight?

    Yeah, it's in settings area uder accessories or something similar....just updates the controller firmware and makes it work a touch better and more accurately.

    What headsets are you guys using? I'm looking at getting one either Black Friday or Cyber Monday and want a headset to go with.

    Preferably totally wireless IF possible....

    So are the Xbox one ones just a headset or is it a surround headset? I'm thinking of something I can wear to hear the game without using my HT speakers...

    Enders, I use the standard no frills headset supplied to with the console. You're too fancy with your "surround headset" :p
