Three Questions?

What is the best Setup/Calibration disk to get?

What is contained on most of them?

Are they worth the dead presidents they ask for them?

Go to the Polk webstore and buy up the AVIA HT Calibration disc. What it is, is a collection of basic information and simple user-adjustments that will improve the look and sound of your home theater.

F'rinstance, AVIA includes color tests and filters to make it easy to fix the usually-off stock factory settings of your TV's colors so that they are far more realistic and easier to watch. AVIA walks you right thru the tests, and provides loads of alternate tests and test patterns for you to play with. And since you're not mechanically adjusting anything within your TV (you're just manipulating settings from your remote, for example), you're in no way ruining or off-setting anything.

After you've done the video calibration on AVIA, your TV will look completely different and better.
